Field testing should be performed to find the actualvalues for the application. | | NotesThe non-toxic compound used to manufacture CLEAR-40 is non-conductiveand has a U.L. rating of 94 VO.Since CLEAR-40 is highly corrosion resistant as well astransparent, it is used extensively in chemical, pharmaceutical, and foodplants, as well as laboratories and hospitals, where visual contact withthe flow is desired. CLEAR-40 pipe can be used interchangeably with standardschedule 40 gray or white fittings. Assemblies with standard fittings orwith CLEAR-40 fittings should be permanently glued using primerand solvent cement. Eight -foot pipe lenths, twenty-foot pipe lengths, bell-shapedpipe ends, larger fitting sizes, larger fitting sizes, and other fittingconfigurations may also be available through minimum order -- call fordetails. CLEAR-40 is neither recommended to be threaded nor recommendedfor use in applications involving compressed gas. ^Although the product is completely transparent, it doeshave a slight blue tint. |
