Notes
PROLITE is a high-crystalline, random copolymer polypropylene.
It meets FDA requirements for food contact surfaces and is often used in
clean applications, such as the food processing industry. It is a natural
white, semi-rigid product offering limited ability to bend. Since it is
weldable, PROLITE may be joined directly, although it is typically joined
by means of a push-to-connect fitting, such as Newloc®.
Polypropylene is the lightest of all thermoplastic materials.
It offers a high strength-to-weight ratio, low surface friction, and excellent
resistance to corrosion.
PROLITE may be applied as a reasonably priced alternative
to tubing of Teflon® in many applications.
Other sizes, colors, coiling, repetitive cutting, and
heat-formed shapes are available through minimum order -- call for details.
Samples of stock material are available upon request. |
